Hopefully the weather will be ok.......and hopefully they’ll let me in with my car. Rules are any model of a car that entered production in 1988 or earlier.....can I argue that the Z32 was available in Japan in 1988 ? I’ll try anyway ! I’ll be in tandem with a DB6 so fingers crossed !

Here is some ammo for you:

To support the launch of the Z32 in the US at the Chicago Autoshow (February 11th-19th 1989). The Nissan Shatai factory in

Japan started producing the new Z32 300ZX cars in late 1988 alongside the run out Z31 model with production switching over

completely to the Z32s during 1989.

88 is too early for z32?

The only grey area is the bit that says “or an example of a model that went into production BEFORE 1988”, as the Z32 went into production IN 1988. I doubt they would turn you away on those grounds and it doesn’t really make sense why they would specify before 1988 and not 1989, (inline with the 30 year rule) it seems like they copied and pasted the entry requirements from last year but missed amending that date?

Great morning ! 1st car in the paddock enclosure ! The Brooklands staff didn't bat an eyelid and directed me straight in ! Very happy to be sat amongst all sorts of great machinery. The only other Nissan there was a LHD 240Z in a baby blue colour - immaculate !

Andrew, were all 300zx produced in Japan, are these all the 300zx ever made?

All Z32's were produced in Japan at the Nissan Shatai factory. The exact numbers produced is unclear as their

are discrepancies in Nissan's FAST parts database which should hold the details of every Z32 made. For example,

I have come across incomplete FAST records (VIN allocated and date built but no other spec details) and Z32s

with a complete VIN plate on the car but the corresponding record in the FAST database incomplete. However,

these discrepancies seem to be few and far between (as might be expected from Japanese fastidiousness).

When the full FAST Z32 database records are extracted for the Japanese domestic market (work in progress by

Mark at the GTR-Registry.com) we will probably have the best picture of the numbers of cars produced for sale

across all the markets Z32s was sold into.
