Hi all,

This is a general notice for everyone to try an refrain from using these characters in new thread titles :-

" ( ) # % { } | \ ^ ~ [ ] `

The reason being new security protocols introduced means that web servers including our own generally wont process any of the characters

if found within the main URL of the web page that you try to view.

i.e

If you create a Thread title like :- My new Zed (its awesome)

vbulletin will generate a thread link like this :-

https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?18333330-My-new-Zed-(its-awesome)

And if clicked you will get a 404 not found error.

Another example of this would we this genuine thread (which i have left as unfixed.) :-

https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?183330-Sad-news-very-well-loved-Zed-member-has-passed-away-(martinmac)

To get to this thread without the error please just remove the title after the thread id number

https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?183330

To permanently fix this a Mod or Admin will need to manually edit the thread and remove the now unsafe characters from the title.
