This morning travelling to work I heard that Continental tyres were voted best

ย

Winter, Summer & All weather tyres! first time ever a tyre brand has won all three sections.

ย

Any of our members run their Z on these tyres?

Conti Sport Contact always score highly in tests - and rightly so, they are great tyres!! I have Sport Contact 5s on my AMG as OEM fitment and would not use anything else on it. I have previously had them on the Zed too and they were equally as good there too.

I have always used Contis, Goodyears or Michelin Pilot Sport on my Zed; however this time I (reluctantly) tried a set of Avon ZZ5s on it - and was pleasantly surprised with the result! Grip and handling are pretty much as good as with the top three, in both dry and wet. Plus they have a ring if "Zs" around the outer edge, which swung it for me. Not to mention they cost a lot less than the Contis did.

I would never advocate skimping on tyres - and would otherwise have written off the Avons after a bad experience of the old ZZ3. But I can wholeheartedly recommend the ZZ5 and will definitely buy them again for the Zed.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
