Hi Guys

I have had an email from Simon Fox @ Nissan asking if we would like to be parts of a big celebration event at Japfest on 5th May 2019.

they are looking to get a large display of Z cars at the event to celebrate 50 years of the Z marque with a parade lap that hopefully will number around 250 cars.

Simon has asked if 300zx.co.uk would be interested in being involved, I'm pretty sure we are !! so for those that want a lap round Silverstone but at a leisurely pootle, (you can book track time and drive much faster if you like), this would be a great day and a chance to be part of a big event. We would also be part of a big static display too so win win all round.

I think this fits in perfectly with our anniversary plans and is a great chance to not only have a great day out but increase the exposure of the club so I for one will certainly be going.

So if you would like to attend lets get a list going.

That is a shame. I will admit, for me the idea of the parade lap was the primary USP for this event.

 

I have to admit that too.....

 

I did Japfest many many years ago in my Supra; I did attempt it a few years back in my blue Zed.... However despite leaving home nice and early, when I got within the last few miles of Castle Coombe, the traffic was so bad that I gave up after sitting for over an hour; I turned round and drove straight home:sad:

 

But Silverstone is but half an hour or so from me - so that, and the potential lap of honour, were a big draw for me. I shall probably still attend though - if only because up the road:wink:

Hi I wont be able to make it now either my lovely wife has organised a weekend away, nice to go away with her but was really looking forward to this.

lets hope my interior is done for beaulieu and i cam attend that one instead.

If you want to go to japfest and be on the stand you have till close of mid day tomorrow to get your tickets.

Parade lap is doubtful as they cant get any 240z cars to attend. Deadline for purchasing a club stand ticket using the 350z details is lunchtime today if you want to join us on the 350z club stand. If not just buy a general admission ticket.

Thanks Ian - appreciate all you have done for us mate; and no need to apologise for the short notice. Pretty poor organisation from either the event organisers or the 350z guys IMO though - leaving it so late! Seeing as I (and probably a few others) have missed the deadline, what do we do, if we still wish to attend....?

Hi rich club tickets is now closed you can still buy a general admission ticket though . I'll post on the 350z site if anyone cant attend we might buy their ticket from them if that's allowed !

will it be car passes rather than tickets that are needed Ian? is that what ordering through the club method enabled you to get?
