Bit of an odd one, the drivers side door lock motor seems to keep whirring when I have unlocked it and started the car. Passenger side doesn't seem to unlock now. If I reach over and flick the lock button on the passenger door the whirring stops. Have to remember to manually lock the passenger door externally. I need to take the door card off on drivers door to rewire the mirror, so is there something I should be looking for? anyone had similar issue?

Well as standard there is no lock solenoid fitted in the drivers door, it's actuated manually by using the key, that then unlocks the passenger door solenoid. The only reason to have a drivers side one is for remote locking / alarm, if this is the case then an additional motor solenoid has been fitted, this has move to open the door lock and trigger the passenger side too. If the rod from it has slipped or set wrong it will cause the problems your experiencing.
