Hi guys

Would someone please be kind enough to give me a vin to a “99 spec manual tt? I want to price something from my Nissan dealer but they need a vin.

Many thanks,

Chris.

Sorry mate but I’m being told that number doesn’t work. Does anyone else have another VIN I can try please?

What is it you need to order? Does it need to be a manual VIN?

I've had problems before with a JDM VIN but give them a UK VIN and all of a sudden it all works

UK twin turbo auto - might give you access to part numbers on the dealer system

Their incompetence never ceases to amaze me

I’m wanting to find out if a uk dealer can get a good price for a “99 spec gear box.

Thanks for that, I’m sure it will be fine now with the G.

Give them this part number 3201054P21 to help them find the right parts catalogue. When I’ve spoken to Nissan in the past they point blank refused that my car exists because the VIN number is not recognised on their database. When they gave me an example of the only numbers they recognised, it was the format of the UK supplied cars, not imports.

Thanks mate. I tried the part number first but their computer said no.

This is what they’ve told me too up until now. Not a problem for me normally as mines a UK car but I wanted to see if Nissan could beat the shipping costs from US on a gearbox. The parts man at my local dealer has been very helpful up until now and knows his Z32 better than I do which has been refreshing to hear from a dealer.

According to Coz, Nissan are still manufacturing them and they are showing no signs of winding it down just yet.

Why’s that, are they used in other cars?

In general terms shipping from America is cheaper than shipping from Japan by a considerable margin when it comes to weighty items unless you know a friend with a container.

Secondly Ian Greenfields VIN works perfectly on the dealers system, just he typed CCZ32 instead of GCZ32 in his first post. Unfortunately just because Nissan makes them, it doesn't mean that Nissan UK dealers can order them - it's not that simple. A perfect example would be the 99 spec sideskirts. I haven't enquired about the gearbox but it would only take you 10 mintues on the phone to find out. Also I would it expect it to be horrendously expensive.
