I think one if my Tie Rod Ends has gone (the nes at the end of the steering rack), i've got marks on the ground directly under one of the. Anyone know how much they are and the best place to get them from, is there any upgraded ones and do you have to change the pair?

John - contact Luke at the ZCentre (http://www.zcentre.co.uk) and purchase a set of poly urethane tie-rod bushes - if memory serves me they are about £65. It's a fairly straight forward replacement procedure, and yes you need to do them as a pair, i.e., both sides of the front axle, and it helps if you have a press or know of a garage that has one. Should tidy up the front end nicely performance wise.

I've already changed those ones, the bits I was trying to describe are the joints at the end of the steering rack.

John, sounds like you might have a leaking steering rack :( Is it losing power steering fluid at all?

I'll have to check tomorrow, I hope not :(

Still not necessarily major expense m8 - you may be able to get new seals, not sure though. If its due to a cracked boot and dirt ingress, then chances are its scored the rod so new rack required. You should be able to pick up a s/h one fairly cheap anyway - they aren't exactly in high demand!!!

Thanks for the advice Andy, going to get it up on ramps tomorrow and giving it a good check over.
