That went well. :(

 

It took over 3 hours to upgrade to something which I royally hated.

 

Even though I've done testing I never had the actual people to log in to use it and the results were fairly bad.

 

Lesson learned and we move on and find a different way to enhance our systems. :)

 

The truth of it all after I stripped off all the incompatible plugins that we used there wasn't much left.

 

It could have literally taken weeks to program new methods to get the functionality that we had so it wasn't worth it.

Have to say, I wasn't a big fan, but only seen it for like 5 minutes.

Had just a quick look yesterday and thought it was still in progress. So it was shite then lol. You never now till you try it and Lee has put a lot of work into changing it but I believe the right decision was made to revert back. Lee thanks for trying mate and all the hard work :thumbup1:

The benefits of the upgrade didn't do it justification to what we were losing.

 

I am still working on a plan for a featured front end for the club and I think we should arrange the sub committee as previously suggested.

there is a little arrow button on the right hand side which hides/shows that content bar on the front page, has it been set to hide?

Not sure what you mean, everything else looks the same to me, it was in the menu bar on the top wasn't it?

Working for me now it said "server hangup" on mine when I tried it but that could be this work computer playing up.

ah, the "Latest Posts" link in the tool bar which had "unread", "memberlist", "messages" etc, underenath the main "home", "forum", etc toolbar?

that still shows for me, so assume it is a user selected feature. will have a look

For anyone who is having issues with broken links you all just need to do a forced refresh on your device.

 

The page links from the updated vbulletin 5 are getting cached on your devices.

 

For mobile devices you will need to clear private data and log back into the site.

What on earth have you done with the forum can’t find anything tried to sell some wheels all sort of crap has come up I give up why change something that wasn’t broken not much point of staying a member just wasted half hour and got nowhere

We never changed anything, we attempted but decided to go back.

 

What issues are you having?

 

The selling system hasn't changed in 3 years now.

The whole site has changed

Very odd just clicked on forum at bottom of site and the old site has come back

Were you somehow stuck on the default vbulletin theme perhaps?

 

Need to disable that.
