Unfortunately Not close enough to me. Had too many garages dick me about to have to drive the other side of the country. And what needs doing? A lot. I have about 10K in parts to go on, rebuild etc. All the hoses perished one cold winter and then I needed to water-tight the house. So money for the car wenht on the house and the car got stuck. I did try a couple of places to get it MOT and working but they just talked *****cks and did **** all.

If you've been dicked around by too many garages, surely you'd want to travel to a high quality well renowned garage? I know I did when I had substandard bodywork done by a number of local places. I ended up shipping it 4hrs away and it was well worth.

Well buddy, you have had the very best advise here, get it to Jim`s, he will NOT dick you around, if you chose to go to looser garages close to you then I struggle to see how anyone here can help you quite frankly

This is the whole point of asking for recommendations isn't it. You're not likely to get dicked about with someone like Jim.

I’m fairly close to you being in Essex and travel to PowerZed as and when I need to for piece of mind. It’s far from convenient but if you don’t want to risk the 10k in parts being wasted, then I suggest you hitch up a new plan and either drive or get it trailered to Jim for a proper job!

Not only will he make sure all those lovely parts are utilised in all the right places, but you can also be confident that they will be reliably pieced together and afford you a happy zedder for many years to come!

To me it sounds like it’s advantage cowboys and you’re on your second serve, don’t get it wrong this time! That was cheesy wasn’t it?

I was in the same boat here in Ireland, wasted money getting mechanics to "learn" how to work on the Z, still wasn't right and pulled the newly fitted engine. Wasted upwards of €3500 before I just bit the bullet and trailered the car to Jimmer @Powerzed. You just have to get it to the other side of the country . I had to travel across Ireland, catch a ferry and then travel halfway across the UK mate:whistling:. It will still work out cheaper than shelling out a fortune to inexperienced mechanics, who will half ass the car up and be back to square 1.

Jimmer at Powerzed is the only person you should bring this car to:thumbup1:
