Hi folks

As I'm sure you are all aware you've seen my project dream turn to dust.

Sadly I'm left with having to break the 300, as u know it's a 1994 UK spec twin turbo with manual gearbox with low mileage.

Some bits have been earmarked by members already but if there is anything you need then I'd rather bits go to the members on this forum rather than random eBay buyers.

Now I'm not a breaker but am a sensible genuine person, I am happy to remove most parts but I won't attempt to remove items that I don't have the skill knowledge or machinery to do so, this will be done by my good friend who is a bmw m3 specialist.

Obviously some parts may come off slow time when he can fit the jobs in.

I am local to biggin hill in kent. 15 minutes from junctions 4 and 6 of the m25 if collection is preferred.

If you are further away then I'm happy to look into postage or a courier service.

Please let me know if anything is of interest.

Regards luke

Sure Andrew, I'll be around on Saturday.

Let me know what it's worth . Cheers

I had a lovely visit today from a member who is now the lucky owner of the illusive stealth box. Was nice to meet a fellow member and have a look around the car.

sadly he agrees the work involved far outweighs the benefit with it being a cat C. He has pointed out a few minor but hard to find parts that I would surely have sent to the scrap yard.

It was a pleasure to meet you!

Great to meet you too yesterday Luke. Some parts I saw that may be of interest to others include:

Complete set of parts for auto to manual conversion.

UK spec "blue glass" to doors, 3/4's, and windscreen (Pilkington) Targas(?) Tailgate is Jspec glass. Glass codes can confirm tint.

Original Titanium key with full set of matching locks - ignition, doors, boot and glovebox.

Dashboard, steering wheel, A/C and lighting pods. Radio surround.

Cabin floor carpet (the single piece moulded item) in lovely condition. Full set of floor mats in black.

Hi it is original foam/rubber but has suffered water ingress so I'm not sure if it's fixable or rubbish. Would you like some photos

If the 2+2 is the same as the 2+0, I am looking at the same but for the drivers side. Cheers.

Thanks for your reply, if you don't mind a picture would be good. How much also please? I have the original on mine also but the metal underneath has rotted away.

I thought they lbw became longer feom the rear quarter glass and back?

  • Author

Ok so.

Trying to manage, work, kids, house work and this thread plus removing items from the car is quite a struggle.

if you can all bare with me as I can't devote all the hours of each day to remove parts.

I will be systematically removing the parts and storing them in my dry and clean garage where I will send more photos to you all once removed

The roofline is different. So the pillar on the door is a bit shorter on swb cars.
