Since rebuilding the turbo's is gonna be close to 1k i was looking at the turbo kits on CZP a few of them are 2k and since there brand new would hopefully last me a while and i was wondering if these could be installed, then ran at regular boost pressure or do you have to run them at the higher psi's cos then i would need injectors, mapping etc and all that entails

That link doesn’t work.

If you fit larger turbos they will produce more air at a lower psi. So even if you left the boost at stock pressure you’d be adding more air to the same volume of fuel, there’s a real chance or even likelihood you will run lean and cause detonation. You can keep the injectors (you won’t get the best out the turbo upgrade though) but you will need a different map.

Have you enquiried about having modifications done to make your stock turbos bigger. Ie biggest wheels in machined housings?

i was just looking at fitting a more common turbo's so in future if i needed a rebuild again the cost would in theory be less as the parts are more common, as the few quotes and people i talked to all said original garrett parts for these turbo cost a fortune as its only used on the zed.

I don’t know about that, the parts are pretty changeable between the T2 series turbos and besides the 300zxs specific factory hybrid the t28 for example is very common. Anyway.

If you go for a more modern turbo like a GT2554 for example these are ball bearing equipment and as such not serviceable. Failure means a new core, no rebuilds...

All you can do is look at your budget and make the best choice for you. Sadly there’s no truly cheap option or perfect one either.
