For some reason got no revers lights checked the sensor on the gearbox that's fine went to the bonnet looped pin 4 and 7 in the plug that should give me reverse lights but nothing where should I look now

 

Have you done any initial troubleshooting Ted? At the back, where the bulbs go, do you have 12v? Probe the +12v terminal and use a decent ground on the body, not the -ve wire.

 

Is yours auto or manual?

Have you checked the fuse? Assuming you have, I would suggest that you work your way through the wiring diagram from the power supply through each connector to find when it is lost. I can have a look tomorrow if you need assistance finding the locations of everything.

 

How did you test the switch?

 

Here is a schematic of the circuit, I have removed the auto and left hand drive options for simplicity:

Fuse in the drivers side fusebox above the accelerator pedal, marked up as ASCD A/T control

Ok replaced the fuse thanks Jeff put the wires on the sensor no reverse light put the wires together from engine bay lights on so took the sensor out of the gearbox put the wires to it prest the end lights came on is there a adjuster on the gearbox iv mist
