Does anybody know if TK3 code is a solid blue with a pearlescent Clear coat, or is it a Metallic Paint with a clear clear coat??

Judging by this pic, I’d say a metallic paint with a clear topcoat but am awaiting confirmation on this from my paint guy:innocent:

Thanks Richie,

I know the picture is of paint, but is it metallic out of the tin or solid ?, Where did you get yours from, and what was the cost ??

Yep, what Pete said, pearl base coat with clear, Keith Newport (KJZ32)painted my car, he got the materials etc.:thumbup1:

Any paint motor factor can mix it for you..

Some places have spectrometers so if you are buying a reasonable amount and can take in a sample panel (metal not plastic ideally) they can match it up maybe a little better to your probably faded original. But the off the card formula is a pretty good match.

FYI

All Nissan 300ZX colours are basecoat and laquer finishes including the solid colours.
