As my clutch is on its last legs, I'm planning on getting one of those RPS clutches (speak to ya soon Smithy), but can anyone suggest a good garage to fit this clutch? Local would be good, but at the end of the day I dont mind travelling for that extra good and reasonably priced service!

Also, is there anything else I should do or get changed when the clutch gets done?

Get the RPS max clutch it comes with new slave cylinder, throwout bearing and pilot bush. also get a rear main crank seal from courtesy its part no 12279-18V00

Also time to fit a lightened flywheel. Lots of the dealers in the USA are doing deals if you order clutch and flywheel together.

Your car doesn't happen to be grey does it Mark, with aftermarket alloys? That's assuming your name here is your reg no.. If it is, then I've seen you twice (erm, it was me who drove past you while you were broken down on the A308M.. ahem)

My car reg is A2XGO, I have broken down quite a lot ( gotta love them zeds) but she is blue with BBS alloys. Not sure where the A308M is, but if its in Berkshire, then chances are it was me. Was there a bloke sat in the drivers seat looking totally pi**ed off. If so, that was me!!!!!

Hmm, I thought it was a grey car.. could have been wrong mind, as I wasn't exactly beside it for long, and the other time it was pitch black..

 

The A308M is off J8/9 of the M4, heading into Maidenhead, and we're talking maybe a week ago now, just before 9am in the rush hour.. I got flashed by, I think, the same car at the roundabout in Maidenhead before he headed off toward Windsor on the back road (hence me thinking it might have been you) the day before - pretty sure the reg started A-something both times..

Busted!! yeah that was me.. You cant really miss my car. It has the mod of all mods.... An AA lorry permently attached to the front wheels. What colour is your Z and I'll keep me eyes peeled next time I'm bored waiting for AA assistance!

Dont bother getting the crank seal from Courtesy because they will charge you $49 to deliver. Ok when you buy expensive and lots of items, but the seal is only £20 MAX from Nissan.

I got one and oil leak gone :D

 

I think its a seal they use for others cars too cos they had them on the shelf. After cost of delivery, tax, duty and the time it takes to get here, its cheaper to get it from Nissan.

Lol Mark - mine's seen it's time on the back of a transporter too..

 

Mine's grey - G reg import, standard bodywork & wheels, driven by a fat bloke who usually looks like he's about ready to murder someone :) (specially first thing in the morning :D)..

 

Next time I see you broken down, I'll pull over, honest.. :D
