Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the white UK 300 on eBay is showing as a 31/12/2001 cat C.

Im Croydon, Dads zed will be back at the end of the month so could give you a ride in that :)

 

If you have the space and are able, breaking might get you a better price as the car is not running at the moment, then sell the rolling shell.

Please don’t try and fix it yourself just to get it running, you’ll more likely do more harm than good. It’s been sitting for a long time and really, in my opinion, needs a specialist to start it (belt, pumps, pulleys, oil, fuel has all been left standing for 4 years)

 

I was very excited when I first spotted this on eBay and had a fair few chats with the owner before you snuck in. If it wasn’t a cat c this would have been in my garage. What put me off wasn’t the amount of money that needed to be sunk into it but the fact that it will now always be a cat c and an undocumented one at that. I hate to say it as I’ve always wanted a white UK manual but I think it’s a breaker

Out of interest does anyone know how much it would cost roughly to put the chassis on a jig to check its properly straight?

As for breaking it, I wouldn't have the heart or the time to do it plus have had some terrible issues with couriers recently but won't go into that.

I have a good friend who is a bmw m3 specialist, he has mentioned helping me out with regard to getting it back together, yes I know this is no m3, but he is a clever guy and won't do something if he's not 100% sure what he's doing.

Just looked through all the bits supplied with the car and checked against online instructions for removing the plenum.

Appears to be everything here.

The guy had tried the dremmel way of replacing the injectors prior to I imagine giving up and pulling it off.

 

Also reading about the deletes, seem fairly straight forward to do.

 

Just need to make my mind up now don't i

Could anyone help me out with part numbers for

Upper and lower injector seals

Lower fuel rail seals

 

Trying to call Nissan and explain what I need is going to be a mare....

Im.giving myself a cooling off period while I try to work out if I can keep it.

In the meantime seeing as the plenum is off, I am going to tinker, 're fit the injectors and do some of the deletes to see if it inspires me

Does anyone happen to have a spare one of these or know the part number?

They are located on the fuel rail and fit together in pairs , they fix over where it bolts down

Yeah you're correct, not stock dual filter with mushroom filters. And those aren't cats, they're silencers/resonators on the decats.

To be clear I said silenced/resonators. Don't expect it to be quite because it has it!

Haha no worries. My wife has quite a naughty full system on her st so I am used to a bit of noise

Autobahn is a copy brand of the HKS intercooler, I would expect the twin air filter was purchased together with the intercooler as a package. It probably did come off an online market place such as amazon or ebay, not a bad front mount for the money though if that’s why your after. I wouldn’t write it off as junk.

It was purchased about 10 years ago from what I've been told , at the same time as the 6 pot AP racing callipers and discs.

I'd like to think he would have bought quality items going by the brake upgrade but I guess I won't know untill the bumper comes off. Fingers crossed tho
