Having sifted through the images he sent me I'm confident it's genuine.

The tracker fitted in 2001 was in his brothers name, contra cat alarm installation in his name, the original Nissan paperwork is English but there are many papers feom Nissan algarve for parts .

Trying not to talk myself out of this one as having paid a deposit already

Where abouts in Surrey are you Andrew?

I'm right on the surrey/Kent border

Maybe you could pop up some time and have a look when it gets here

Super I'm near biggin hill so not far at all

Oh damn another close to me, im in croydon too lol

Welcome to the club Deegan. Who cares if it’s a Cat C as long as it’s straight, you’ll have a lovely car to enjoy for years to come. Good job for saving a Z from the scrapyard and I look forward to seeing the project progress.

Seconded - welcome indeed Deegan. A d good luck with your new project!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Croydon too. We should do a mini meet haha

The original Nissan paperwork is from the algarve

Nice !

Hi all, I would be very keen to have the vin number as I should be collecting it on Monday, I also have a photo of the v5 document so would be good to know before I make the 79 mile journey.

Just joined the forum tonight and saw this.

I.understand these are money pits but I negotiated a good price after he emailed to say he was removing it from eBay due to finding out it was a cat C.

If it all appears straight when I go to get it then it will be a long term slow restoration project.

Look forward to speaking with you all in future

Well done on your new purchase Deegan and Andrew knows these cars inside out so he will be able to give you great advice.

I'd be up for this although not in my non running 300.

Will have to bring the other you so u can all laugh at me

Sounds like a fun challenge to get it running [emoji3]

It's going straight into the workshop on tuesday.

I'm led to believe it just needs the injectors refitting and a few other bits.

Will have a new battery and full service before it's started, if it starts!

That should include a cambelt service.

Apparently done but will definitely be inspected prior to any attempt to start

Annoying just had to have cam belt kits done on both my other cars, range rover and focus st, that bill hurt!

If you need any specialist assistance, we have a resident Z guru who is only up the road from you (that big long road called the M4 - once you’ve gone round that roundabout - M25!) in Bristol. The company is PowerZed, Jimmer can give you a detailed report on what would need doing to keep the car healthy. I would recommend changing the cambelt regardless personally.

I was going to suggest meeting you at the collection point but it’s the wrong side of Hertfordshire for me to have time unfortunately. It all sounds legit to me, you have a very late model UK car there matey, enjoy it.

Thank you for that message and I'm sure I will need all the help I can get!

Just been looking into cambelts, a decent full kit comea in at juat under £500 from one of the UK specialists who strongly advise their full kit rather than others.

And thanks yes I'm very pleased, an unmolested low mileage manual, can't wait to get it back on Tuesday.

Wife won't be pleased but hey

It's a kit from.one of the z specialists. Seems expensive, I'll find the link if you wouldn't mind taking a look to make sure it's not over the top

Thanks for that.

I guess once it arrives I will start a build thread and ask you guyfor lots of recommendations
