So, I've been here for years now and have seen many zeds come and go. Some of my favourites being here in the northeast. Anyway, I thoughts I'd make a thread about old favourite to try and drum up some interest.

So, what are your old favourites and where are they now if you know.

The Fridge:

So this was owned by PaulG who put the kit on and painted the car himself in his garage. Shockingly, I remember FunkySi saying he quite liked the car. I personally loved it, veilside Supra spoiler and all. The car sold sold to someone abroad, initially having a wheel change and the spoiler removed before having a complete new colour and look.

Funny car this one. I did remember it but it wasn't going to make my personal list on this thread. But the thread is about old popular cars, so get The photos up if you have them.

Chewy

One of our Irish members. This was my favourite photo of his car and the only one I think I have

Having seen the current discussions on Facebook about Darren's workmanship and competence, are you confident...?

I'd be getting my stuff out of there pronto, personally!!

What's the story?

The red wide arch shortie was Yami's. It was an NA. Now a rotten turd from what I know.

The red LWB you said was Baggins' car, it started life owned by him but was bought by Greg who had it for a number of years.

No he didn't. The engine that SouthwestZed built only a month prior expired on him on the track. Ended up going to Jimmer who did a great job. Baz bought it, I believe it's now been broken for spares.

Ah the poor yellow impul zed

That's long gone too. That was broken about 10 years ago. Was in pretty rough shape. It was a genuine one.

DaveW, red UK spec scrapped under the last goverment scrappage scheme (side skirts hid terminal rot). I don't have a better picture.

I hope he saved the Blitz wheels. I remember when that happened. Sad.

I know. You told me, shame as it's the only swb one I've seen.

Yowser was selling the skirts from it not too long ago.

No, they went with the car to the crusher.

What a shame. If he stuck some knackered NA wheels on it, he'd have made himself £1000.

Your choice of 'disability blue' was not your finest hour. ;)

If I'm honest it wasn't my choice,it was my brothers choice,he never did have any taste lol

The bottom one is tizer, already posted.

The top one is the old Knightsbridge demo car and had air ride suspension along with the lamb door hinges. The car vanished for a number of years from around 2007 onwards and popped up again about 3-4 years ago. And was at the JAE event in 2015 on the 'extreme BHP' stand. It's current owned by a guy called Wayne Kimkeran and it's currently for sale for around £10k. Still a decent looking car but a little run down.
