Portimão Airport is small, very small, busiest part is the skydiving school and a few transfer flights in small aircraft.

Many if not most EU countries have far more relaxed attitudes to the presentation of cameras, as you doubtless know the law can vary a lot and the standard of driving in many continental countries is terrible. There certainly isn’t an EU standard. Maybe you could help the Portuguese to come up to the British standards with these cameras.

Well there is some oddness to the way things are done here, hidden cameras locations are actually listed on the Gnr Web site at the beginning of each month, but fixed cameras are not ?

The driving standards are equal to the worst of any European country, UK included. But this hiding of camera is not about education or speed reduction, it is just a revenue stream. That said the UK originally did just this until motoring bodies got things changed, I have no illusion that the Portuguese authorities will listen to me Stephen, after all why should they...lol
