How do I turn this damned snow off??

As title; I need to turn this snow effect off but can't see how.

    It's probably not optional unless there's a theme change available. It massively massively slows down the browsing session even on my fast machine.

    Turn off javascript.

     

    On most browsers, click the button to the left of the address bar (on chrome it says secure), and for javascript click always block. It may block other stuff though.
