Morning all

I trying to get some clarification on what mods to buy as ive been reading some very mixed opinions online.

Im looking to take my stock TT to a reliable 400-450bhp.

I have a few parts ready to go on the car already / Full polybushed NA rear end and Nistune ECU. I have however been told by some that all i will need is 750 injectors and a boost controller. Then by others that ill need bigger turbos and intercoolers, larger fuel pump etc etc.

Could anyone please clarify what is actually a recommended set up.

Thanks all in advance.

Here is some reading for you from the very well respected GregD@SpecialityZ in the US.

"I am here to tell you that IN MY OPINION it would be better to upgrade your intercoolers and pipes rather than upgrade your turbos if your not going to do both"

Scroll down to charts showing bhp and torque for this setup:

"And last we will add a stock turbo, stock engine car to the chart that has 2.5" intercooler pipes, 2.5" Ash intercoolers, full 3 inch Exhaust,

MS Manifolds, Selin dual intake, 740cc injectors."

http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2415470/A-little-info-about-turbos-and-pipes-DYNO-CHARTS.html

740cc pintleless injectors are more reliable than 555cc pintle injectors.

Before you so any of that, uprate the clutch and the brakes!
Agreed as you also said in the other thread. Mine is already done so I forgot to put that in my list.

My car is over 400 bhp, not sure exactly where these days but it is bloody quick.

It does not have bigger injectors.

Where I'm pretty sure the power has come from:

- Being really well serviced and running well in the first place.

- Selin Dual intake with 2 Apexis

- 2.5 inch intake and boost pipes

- AshSpec Massive intercoolers

- HKS EVC 5 EBC at 15psi

- Japspeed Turbo back x pipe exhaust (no cats) And it isn't that loud

Things which then allow it to keep working:

- Competition 6 puck clutch and a lighter flywheel

- Wiring specialities harness

- New Waterpump and bigger radiator

- Bigger oil cooler

- Bigger Fuel pump with AFPR and a "Stack" in car fuel pressure gauge

Then to keep you alive:

- Good tyres

- K sport brakes

- Coilovers

- ARBs

Awesome read Andrew, mine (I hope) is pretty much the cyan one he adds last, lots of power all the time.

All I am going to do in the near future is Ash Spec manifolds and the best divorced downpipes I can find.

Indeed - but steer clear of pintle injectors. Go with the 740s.

Noted. The step to injectors will be in a while however. I have enough on my plate at the moment, first priority is fixing and cleaning up the car, making it run perfectly/reliably and much easier to work on than it was stock.
