Interesting car the President. I have seen one on the road, but quite a long time ago. I prefer the slightly smaller Cedric personally.

Or Fairlady ? :whistling:
Yea I'd only thought of that afterwards! Internally it's a 300zx to me

Appreciate the history behind the nomenclature, but I can't stand 'Fairlady'; all trace of it has been removed from my car and thankfully it's not on the V5 either!

The Japanese have always made a terrible job of naming their cars with Nissan in particular being the worst culprit.

Cherry, Bluebird and Sunny are by far the worst that we got in England. Sunny was replaced by Almera which is as dull as the car and then by Pulsar which sounds exciting (harking back to the excited by strangely styled GTi-R) but again, a very dull vehicle which was only really built and sold for accounting reasons. A car for people that don't really like cars and until we get the highly anticipated 'Nismo' version, it will remain one of the blandest cars Nissan has ever created.

Si you should change your forum name to FunkyFairlady lol it has a good ring to it.

I'm actually thinking about changing my user name anyway, but not to that!

Have you out grown Funkysi ! Nobody will know you if you change your name its like Thomson Holidays changing to TUI.

LOL - but very true.... Simon, sir, it will be like the end of an era if you change your name.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the old large Jap cars like the President, Cedric and Laurel. I also quite like some of Toyota's too like the Crown, Aristo and Chaser.

I agree with you Gary, they look great slammed:)
