The reason I have been a bit quiet over some months, Bills cancer came back after xmas, and after a very tough battle borne with great dignity he passed away last Saturday morning at home in my arms. We were only 8 short years together but he was the love of my life, even at this old age. I know some of you met him and he was a really good man, fun, generous and full of life. While Bill knew absolutely nothing about cars especially Zs he fully supported my interest in them. Also on another sad note for those that remember him I had only heard a few weeks ago that Chewie also lost his wife Adelle in April.

So sorry for your loss, often seems the good one`s slip away too early, its a wicked condition and seems these days everyone is touched by it either a friend or loved one, your brave care. time and love was the ultimate sacrifice for him and to be there at the end is to be applauded.... not sure I would be so brave as you both.

Really sorry to hear it Trish, my condolences. I know first had that you have a heart of gold so I would bet that you made those 8 short years some really wonderful years for him.

So sorry to hear that Trish - my thoughts are with you and may Bill rest in peace....

Just two weeks ago, as Julia and I were driving up to Coventry, we were thinking about who might be at the hotel that evening - and you both came into our minds in an instant.

Julia and I wish you all the best Trish; and we are all right here for you at this sad time.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I knew Bill and met him several times. A real class act. Great man to talk to and he'd always take the time to listen and strike up conversations.

Trish, I know I spoke to you last week but again, I'm really sorry about the sad news. I didn't post it on here as I felt it'd be best to leave to you in your own time. You know where I am if you need to talk. Would you also pass on my thoughts to Chewy please more sad news on his family too.

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

I only ever met Bill a couple of times but he came across as a genuinely nice guy. He actually asked me at JAE a couple of years ago if I could explain the attraction to these cars, and then his eyes just looked through me as I started talking at length...! I think I told him to ask you once I realised...

Truly sorry to hear this, Trish. As Funky has said, I can believe that the 8 years you shared were packed full of fantastic memories.

Sorry to hear that best wishes.

Sorry to hear your news Trish, its a cruel world and you would think after all the years and amount of money into research you would have thought we should have had some sort of prevention or fix by now.

I remember Chewie, when i first met you both down in the New forest back in 2007? My condolences to you both
