A fix for loose wheel arch liner / bumper frame bolts.

The plastic grommets that snap into the tin frames that clip to the corners of the front bumper wear through.

Rather than risk the time and expense of replacing said frames with new ones (as the grommets aren't available separately), I discovered a way of giving them a new lease of life.

In my quest to get the best panel fitment as I could, I've replaced all the other wing grommets I could. I noticed that the lower portion of the front wing (where the very bottom of the arch liner secures) looks very similar so bought a bunch.

As you can see, they're slightly different, but fit the same sized cutouts.

300ZX front bumpers have tendency to bow out slightly and by this fix, you can pull the dropsides in a little tighter to the arch liner and bracket giving a better fit.

They're more expensive from Nissan, but they were available next-day and I knew they would fit. I have tried universal fasteners and whilst some (the rivets) have been fairly good, other ones didn't fit.

The plastic in the Nissan fasteners is really good quality and feels a little more dense.

What about the spring type clips that secure that bracket to the bumper itself. I have lost one of mine and can't find a decent alternative

You can still buy those new.
