Heres the story..... start the 'z', first thing in the morning, engine cold, pull away down the road and watch the revs fluctuate 3500, 3300, 3500, 3300, you get the picture, car surges and falls back for the first 5 mins then comes right? is my Z possessed?

This sounds a bit tricky!!! First thing to check is that there's no pipes off - this is a tricky job because there's so many of them Check everywhere for either rubber pipes with loose floating ends or places for pipes to attach that don't have a pipe on them!

With the problem only being when cold, this last option is far more likely Not sure on the price of the unit and whether it is definitely this but there's a good chance....
