I have just purchased my first 300, the car has a very loud single pipe at present and I am looking to replace it with a more subtle sounding twin pipe cat-back system. Do any of the exhaust manufacturers do an 'off the shelf' decent system or does it have to be custom made, if so, can anybody recommend anybody in my area (S.Wales).

Single pipe? As in its only got one back box? Japspeed do bolt on parts. I've got it on mine with the decat from manifolds back. Sounds nice maybe a touch on noisy side. Depends what you're looking for I suppose. Custom work will give you more options but japspeed isn't too badly priced either

Is your 300zx a LWB or SWB? Very hard to find exhausts in the UK now even Japspeed have stoped making them. These guys have a nice system https://quicksilverexhausts.store/products/300-zx-z32-twin-turbo-sport-exhaust-system-1989-00?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=35293884359&gclid=CjwKEAjw07nJBRDG_tvshefHhWQSJABRcE-ZZ9dILMLPuyd71mXsx6-xApFhKUH2D5effnWHVGbvbhoCOdDw_wcB or you could get a custom one made. Other than that the only other way to get a system is to use the USA sites.

Thanks for your replies. Quicksilver are a bit too expensive for me, I can have custom made for £650.

The car is lwb with single box, non turbo.

Put a wanted post up? There was a mongoose for sale that i think is still available.

Not too sure what the quietest system is for the NA. Mongoose systems on a TT are fairly loud, although not at the top end of the scale. The NA is notoriously droany and raspy when fitted with most aftermarket systems. Just make sure you didn't get rid of the cats. Z32 cats are relatively free flowing anyway and you won't notice any difference on an NA, just the amount of droan and rasp they make.

Agreed. Mine came with decats already on when I got her. Really wish it didn't though
