whats the best advice for a zed in the snow, mines an auto, and ive had it 3 months and got to grips with it in the wet, but what are these beasts like in snow, or icy roads, is it best to keep it in 2nd gear, im dreading the short journey to work with 2 inches of snow.

Buy a £200 shed for this weather, I just have:)

Preferably on somone elses ins' ;)

Done Z's in snow - you can't go anyware & most importantly you cant stop, the abs goes haywire! & it will chew the up tyres in a few minuets.

Happy shopping.

Agree.....2 inch of snow.....the wheels on the auto just turn when you are stationary!!!

Leave in Garage......walk......etc..not worth risk

I have no choice. I have to drive mine as its the only car I have and insurance on a 2nd car will cost me over £600 FPFT.

Drive like a pussy. Its not so much the pulling off thats the problem, its the stopping and turning. I have traction control which helps but it doesnt make you turn or stop..

yeah i kinda figured it would be quite deadly, super wide tyres are great in the dry but in the snow they dont cut it, i used to get stranded in my supra with 100 bhp less, guess its peugeot 205 junior time.

Hehe get a GT-R ;)

Attesa active four wheel drive.....

;)

Seriously though, nightmare season for high BHP, so take it easy and safe folks.

Peas,

I live in the midlands and ive been praying for snow forages so i could have a bit of fun in the z, we got a very small covering last night and i could only just get it off the drive!!!

Youre right zeds and snow dont mix, but im gonna have fun trying!!!

Hi there, if your is an import put the power/hold switch into hold and then at junctions the auto box pulls away in 2nd gear to reduce slip, also the box is more reluctant to change down so revs are kept as low as poss at all times when travelling along.

No snow here either. Lots of ice though. :D Ice is fun, when you have the space.

You could take the z into the local Nissan dealer for a routine service - it usually takes them so long to complete the work you'll be driving round in their courtesy car until the weather's nice and warm again ! :D

our area is like a skating rink. luckily the zed is in the garage havinf surgery, so no driving problems.,

cheers

steve
