AC Condenser - Same Part No.t for TT & NA ?

I am trying to replace my broken AC Condenser and unless I import from the US... the only option for new appears to be from Nissan UK at £585 (8 week wait)....so I am hoping to pick up one from a breaker and then see if I can get it repaired/re-cored at a local radiator specialists.....if that can't be done for a reasonable cost... I will have to go down the import route.

The reason I am opting to find one from a breaker instead of taking mine out is that it requires a lot of dismantling...and I don't really want to take my car to bits without knowing just how long it would have to stay like that

So....the part number for my car (1991 TT manual) is 9210133P00 (according to Nissan UK).....my question is....if I source an AC Condenser from a JDM or N/A car....will it fit?....It would be a bit of a ba!! ache to go to the expense and trouble of getting an old unit from a breaker re-furbished...only to find it was different dimensions or had different fitments....I have looked at the exploded diagrams for the AC components and I THINK they are the same...but would appreciate confirmation from one of the 'gurus' on the forum.

Thanks

Gary

You want the condenser from a TT (NAs have different pipe work). The condensers from later TTs are more efficient (part #92101-47P15).

These folks can repair a condenser (Croydon based).

Thanks Andrew...I take it the later model has the same pipework/connections as the earlier model?

Gary

Yes, but read CZP description re piping.

BTW Aaron Radiators in Croydon wanted £395 + VAT to repair/re-core !!

Wow they have gone up a bit in price since I last asked!

If you find/use another repairer do let us know.
