Hi everyone, my '91 TT is reading error code 21 (ignition sensor circuit) or the PTU.. I'm sure this is quite a common problem experienced by lots of users and I apologise if there's threads I've missed.

 

I understand pre '92 models had an older version PTU which was prone to failing and was later replaced for a more reliable unit. My question is: is it a simple case of buying the newer replacement unit? I'm assuming I will need an adaptor harness also? Is there anything else I'm missing?

Fot the PTU swap straightforward replacement Jay. Nissan part# 22020-97E25. Everything you need to do the swap.

Depends on what CZP mark it down as.

 

Usually it will be 20% of the value and a handling fee.
