He says it's definitely a turbo model and will post pics tomorrow, so curious as too what happened to the front end to be changed?

I seems to recall a discussion not long ago on here about another "turbo" model with an N/a front end, I don't think it was the same car though.

Edit: just had another look at the images it doesn't have a turbo boost gauge either! Re-engined perhaps?

Didn't 96 to 98 not have boost gauges?

I think it could be a TT with an na front end

Yes, and if it is a '97 model then that's not the original bumper; it would be all one colour. Could be a TT.

Looks lovely either way - interior just needs a clean.

I didn't know about the gauges, he said it was a TT and will post pics, but didn't think a n/a front would be stock for that year?

No wouldn't be but may have been changed without the owner knowing the difference

He is a car dealer and to him its just a car and knows nothing about the different models he needs to put a pic up of the engine and if its a turbo I'll run around our garden naked

LOL - but you probably won't have to now Gaz.....

Looks like he's withdrawn the ad "as there was something wrong with the listing....!" What could that be, I wonder....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Looks like it will be an interesting family BBQ this evening :w00t: You would never of guessed that was a TT from seeing the non turbo front and no turbo gauge. But there you are someone has changed the front to an N/A front bumper and this would need changed to a turbo one.

Just told June about my predicament and she said she would invite more friends round

I might take a spin up your way after work so:innocent: Not to look at you naked, but to record it for posterity:tt2::lol::tt2:

I've gone past at this car a few times it's been sitting outside four crosses garage just on the edge of Shrewsbury, it's most probably had a to conversion? Looks tidy enough

Well the deed has been done but I have just checked our AUP and I would get a ban for putting up naked picture's on the Forum... Dam.

Something to keep us entertained at the AGM so :P

Gaz. I have just found out that the car in question is actually a NA with a turbo engine transplanted. The chassis number is GZ-32054273. So that's the reason it has the NA front end and the cover

Its a bad idea to have an N/A front spoiler and a turbo engine as the air to the intercooler's will be very restricted. It wouldn't be hard to put a TT front end on it but you wonder if any damaged has been done already. Good find on that info Garry and its what most of us has thought.

After spending the day at lee dents doing jobs on the zed....I thought I'd drop by and have a look at this zed on the way home, and I can only say I'm glad I never made a special journey to see this (it's a pile of dog turd),it's a standard NA auto with a TT dropped into it,not even a intercooler In sight,it's had a very poor respray, interior isn't that good either, someone's going to be very disappointed with this car when they see it in the flesh...yet it looks half decent in the pictures I know, my opinion would be stay clear of this one.
