Got my T.C delivered today.

In the supplement for the Z it says all wiring instructions are for UK spec Z, check if different.

Is the loom/ECU/ABS wiring the same on my '91 import?

I'm going to try fitting it next week sometime.

Can I call one of you guys who have installed it before if I get stuck?

Ta in advance!

My Z's an import and I'm sure we wired it the same as Jez's UK spec Z.

Hi guyZ,

Have already fitted mine last weekend! biggrin.gif

This thing rocks!!! It's a doddle to do if you are patient. If any of you get stuck give me a call on 07801735117. Don't like posting my number but if it helps then so be it..... wink.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Just finished mine - easy peasy, just takes ages to do all the crimping & soldering. Wiring colours for imports seem to be identical to UK models.

Bit of a big weekend really ... Now have new adjustable Tokico shocks plus new front and rear Stillen anti-roll bars fitted too ! Can also put to rest the rumours about imports and adjustable rear shocks (one click of the handbrake etc) - they don't have them. Looks like there are occasional benefits for stumping up the extra cash for a UK model.

T.C. install

I've installed the T.C. into Jap and UK spec cars, it's the same procedure. All diagrams I've seen, internet, TC diagrams and service manual match.

Remember to find all the wires before you start cuting. It's easy to get the ECU connector upside down with some of the colours.

Thanks.

I read the manual and there are loads of software adjustable settings.

Have any of you messed with these and found some good settings or is it best to leave them at factory presets?

I'm gonna give it a week or so to build confidence in the device before I start messing with the defaults.

When I can borrow a laptop I will set mine up better. For me and my setup I'm convinced that I want about 2% to 3% less for each setting. But it's all personal preference. On the slippery drag strip even 0% was no good off the line, although I had to try the old launch control anyhow!

You can set it up to launch better, not just the revs, if anyone can work out these settings let me know.

Jez.
