Lets try and use the other thread for chit chat and the usual non relevant comments:biggrin:

As predicted..... very short list of cars for Japfest:lol:

No matter. Im ready and looking forward to it

My mate Steve is bringing his Time Attack 240Z along for some testing.

I also think another mate Johnny is out on track with his 1JZ engined 240Z.

That should make for an interesting battle ....400hp of turbo 1JZ vs 300hp on pure NA power from an all steel forged 3.0Litre L6 engine in a car weighing just over 1000kg.

One thing I do know ....they will both be getting past me on the first or maybe second lap.:scared::scared:

My 240hp and 1300kg driven by a pensioner just wont cut it!!!

Of course we all must remember that no racing is permitted on track day sessions

Yeah right.:whistling:

See you there Pete [emoji106]

Will be in the tracktime paddock. Normally on the RHS just before the bridge over the track.

Are you coming in the 300 Joel???

I'd love to join in but I'm well behind, cars still in the air.

You will always be behind with your car now coz you have carz and bratz to look after:biggrin:

Any on track footage?

Not from me....I dont own a go-pro thingy. I dont think I could be bothered with the hassle.

Maybe one day.......

I only took one picture of our two cars at the same time as Ian.

He has posted up first so I wont bother duplicating it!!

We were on separate sessions after lunch so maybe he has a pic of me on track????

Or maybe not.

So how did those Bluestuff NDX pads stand up to track use Pete?

From my first use I can say they do what it says on the label.

A good response cold and I didnt feel any fade today on what is one of the fastest UK tracks.

I "think" after some hard use they may squeal on normal slow speed a bit??

I will need more days out to be sure about this??

I have to say that my 350Z gold Brembo set up is epic and gives incredible stopping power even from 80/90 mph, which is about what I can pull down Wellington straight.

A quick Twin Turbo will pull more than that but I still feel the 350Z set up is more than enough for 99 out of100 TTs

Didnt take my camera this time as its dificult to find a good spot to take photos wihout a femce in the way, and i didnt want it in the car on the track and there was no ne to leave stuff with

Thanks. I've been impressed with them on my car. I haven't "tracked" them yet , but on fast road driving they

have been very good. As you say good cold bite with progressive brake feel which is unusual for a track focused

pad used for road driving. Quite too, just the very occasional little squeek. Probably wouldn't bother you, but

they were very dusty when I first got them, but have now settled down with low dusting.

Mine certainly are bedded in so it will be interesting to see if they produce much dust/squealing as I continue to use them.

As you say I wont be bothered about some extra noise. Im sometimes tempted to leave my helmet on when I drive home from the track:innocent:

as it is pretty deafening most of the time.

Had a good day yesterday, lots of tasty machines there to look at and watch in anger on the track. Unfortunately I didn't manage to catch up with Pete and Ian and I missed Ian's track session, doh! Pleased that the weather held out for the day as the forecast leading up to it suggested otherwise!

Manage to spot a few Z32's nestled in amongst the cars, shame not to see a club stand there though.

And then there was this one. I've seen pictures of this car before and was always very critical of what they've done to our "lovely cars"! Having now seen the car in person, I can honestly say it's an amazing piece of work, a masterpiece!

The attention to detail and the quality of the work done to achieve the look is remarkable. Unfortunately I didn't meet the owner.

Thanks for that Joel.

In all the time I have used the car I dont ever recall seeing any video of it..

So for me that little clip is very significant.

Not to sure what area Silverstone is under but it would be nice to see the REO and the NEO getting together to make a difference next year.

It would probably have fallen into the old "Thames Valley" area when we had it - but today, it's on the border of London & SE and the Midlands.

Geographically, it's probably one that Paul and I could organise between us. I'd say we're each about 45 minutes from Silverstone...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
