Not sure if it's been thought about or even done but I was chatting with a few mates the other night about the Z.

I have the N/A and was thinking power gains etc.

Is it possible to mount a single super charger or two super chargers to the car?

If so how and what would be the best one/s to use?

Again crazy thought but and idea at the same time.

by the time you have finished messing about with superchargers etc it would be easier to do a tt conversion.

This.

It could end up costing you a lot more than a grand.

I guarantee it will. However if the TT has some parts on it and he breaks it and makes one car it could soften the blow, big project though if you don't have the experience.

I'm sure Ash could chime in here, he had some plans to mount a centrifugal charger where the *AC pump is

Yeah, still have the mock up, to sit a rotrex supercharger where the air conditioning pump was, would be restricted to max 7psi ish without using a tt block ( lower compression) and would require a custom crank pulley and map, but very do able, I'm keeping my set up in case I registered it down the line.

Beauty of a rotrex is they are self contained they have their own oil and cooler etc, no modifications to the block of oil feeds.

* forgot to add probably need a tt fuel pump, adjustable regulator and tt injectors

Plus custom intercooler piping, cooler and map to suit. And you would be lucky to break 300hp I bet. Meanwhile the stock TT is that there on the shelf to make 350+hp for a mbc and a chip, more or less. Fun experiment but not cheap.

It's just for the engine and a few parts the rest would be sold.

Sounds like a lot more work that what we imagined. And if it'll struggle to hit 300bhp then it's a lot of cash for not a lot of gains. Think I'll stick to my original plan though. With getting a mot failure TT and doing the engine swap.

Pretty sure I'll cope seeing as I'm a Roadside Technician.

Done it before in other cars.

I would also not put it out of the question of looking for a clean shell. Its a lot of work doing a tt conversion, and then you have to fix rust also. Maybe cheaper to buy something clean to swap into (or already tt) and swap your nice parts and bodykit into it.

But like I said the windscreen bar is ready for collection whenever you need it

This is very true dude. It's not got major rust it is pretty clean just a little rough around the edges. It'll get there in time. But this months shopping list involves new bushes and engine mounts. [emoji15]

I will do my best to get up to you soon. Workload and area depending. Been Southampton way most of this last week.
