I'm still having problems getting the 300zx to start when cold.

The car will start when warm and also will start once it's been running for 30 seconds or so.

At the moment when the cars cold I have to let the engine crank over and hold the accelerator down and when it try's to start ease the accelerator to get it to idle.

The car has no error codes

No air leaks

Compression readings stone cold are 164 165 164 and 153 150 153 taken today.

It's currently mapped on a nistune board but prior to that map it had a John Dixon chip and the cold start issue was still there.

My basic spec is:

Weisco forged pistons

Cometic head gaskets

Gt525 turbo's

Ams manifolds

Full 3 inch exhaust system

Z1 ba intercoolers

Z1 2/1/2 inch intercoolers pipe work

Robz 62mm throttle bodies

Nismo 615cc injectors

Walbro fuel pump

Induction kit

The car has had a new engine loom fitted prior to my ownership and the injectors and fuel pump are brand new as I thought these could be the problem. Iv also had it suggested that it could be an earth fault, so I earthed everything using jump leads and it was exactly the same.

Any ideas what to check next? Anyone else having similar problems?

Don't use the accelerator until it's stsrted. Just try turning it over and when it starts use a little throttle......

Has the car been mapped from scratch with the Nistune board or did they copy the maps and settings from John's chip/maps ?

You can try starting it with disconnected temp sensor and see if it makes a difference.

Aux. fan will turn on, but ignore that.

Car was mapped from scratch.

Andrew I haven't worked through that from the fsm, so I'll have a look through that lot.

Iv just tried disconnecting the temp sensor and its exactly the same.

If I don't depress the throttle and just turn over with a key it won't start.

who did the loom swap?. I had similar issues when the earth point from the loom wasn't connected correctly at the back of the block near passenger turbo.
