Sorry for another noob question but thought I'd check before I spend money on a clutch that potentially won't fit.

So yeah my clutch has started to slip from time to time and I'm gunna change it before it gets too bad.

First question is are the Clutches for the DET and DE the same? I have a N/A but I've looked theyre all coming up DET. Thought I'd ask before I buy it and have the box off etc to find out its the wrong one.

Second question is there anything else you would recommend changing whilst she's getting the clutch done, ie Flywheel etc.

I'm probably going to get an Exedy Clutch as I've had them in previous cars and never had a problem with them.

Thanks in advance

Twin turbo flywheel is slightly bigger so will not fit directly in an na box. You have to shave off a few mm in the bellhousing and also shim he starter out a bit.

I would replace the rear main oil seal if you have he chance.

Ok, any idea on the clutch itself though?

As long as it fits a na sized flywheel, or you modify the transmission to fit the tt flywheel then the tt clutches are the same dimensions, they just tend to hold more power than na advertised ones.

IMO best to buy an advertised na clutch (for an na). With an na you wont need a $1000+ clutch that hold 700ft/lb torque (like the exedy), you wont need half that. Just get a sensible one for it.

Anything that's down as a VG30DET is for a Z31 300zx not a Z32 (which is VG30DETT).

Personally I'd go for an RPS Street Max over everything else clutch wise. There's another thread active at the moment about lightweight fly wheels, have a look at that before deciding as unless you want to upgrade there is no reason why you couldn't have your stock wheel skimmed if it needs it.

Other thing I would 100% do is go for the full length braided clutch line and delete the hydraulic dampener (the bleed nipple on the near the hicas servo). Makes clutch bleeding a significantly easier and less time consuming.

*and to clarify, if your car is an NA, it's VG30DE

I meant to type VG30DETT but only realised after I'd posted it lol.

Was going to throw a braided line on whilst I was doing it, Probably go for HEL lines. As for hicas N/A's don't have it
