Another problem! Hoping it's a simple one. Took the zed on its first run in many years today.

Temp went to high (not quite on red) and also there was no heat from the heater blower, could also hear a burble from radiator under the cap like it was preasurising!

Hoping it's the thermostat, the only other thing worth noting is the temp sender at front of engine (twin spade) is a bit green but not sure how that would effect it.

If it's been stood, could easily be a seized thermostat, not expensive or very difficult to change so worth doing to rule out, the ecu temp sensor will be causing you issues if it's reading incorrectly or not at all, is it bringing on a fault code?

As Stephen says burping / bleeding the system of air is definitely worth trying too, cross the easy/cheap stuff fixes off the list first, hopefully it's nothing major.

definately sounds like the heater matrix has no water

Did you fill it properly ? aircon off, Temp on max and fill it slowly. strat then engine when it's full a rev it on the throttle connector. You should be able to put mor in then and then out the rad cap back and see if you are getting heat .....
