Recently bought a nova td, to get me about thru winter, but after two weeks my heads done in although i know its cheaper and keeping the 300 nice im tempted to bin the idea, does anyone else have a 2nd car ??? if so how do u cope n wot is it ?????

1.1 mk3 fiesta bwahaha, I cope by knowing that I'm saving about £90 a month in petrol & that when my Z is back it will probably be the most powerful car in my town :D

jesus even if your 300 comes back from wherever it is on only 3 cyls itl still feel like most powerfull car in galaxy after 1.1 lol, at least i know i not alone lol

Yeah I got a BMW 318is coupe but the battery keeps going flat because I use it about once every 3 weeks when myself and the missus need to go shopping. I can't stop driving the 300zx. We even had to take her sister and mum to Lakeside and instead of taking the BMW we took the 300zx and crammed them in the back. I just can;t help it I don't want to drive another car.

my 2nd car is a mk1 golf GTI 1983, its a fun run around. i just take note of all the bullies on my local roads and await sweet revenge when i finally get the zed back on the road :D

I've used my wife's Pajero a few times,when the weather's bad.

But it's no use,because,like Stuart said,I just love driving the Z.

Every time I get in it,it puts a big grin on my face!

Surely thats what it's all about isn't it?

Cars are made to be driven,if you want something to look at,buy a picture!(I bet this will start something!!)

I tried using a second car, a 1.1 pug 106. Was a waste of time though cuz i couldn't stop myself taking the 200sx everywhere instead. Only time the pug came in handy was when i was working on the nissan. Must admit though, i'm gonna get another 'second' car when i get the Z.

i bought mrs c a micra with the intention of using it for driving to & from work.

 

cant be arsed & would rather spend a few more ££'s on fuel !! :D

Lexus LS400, Xantia TD and my wifes FTO (which I dont like), thing about a second car is it stops you getting blase with the 300. You end up enjoying it more, IMHO of course.

I was thinking about getting a 2nd car but at the moment I cant afford it. I am looking at £500-£750 for a decent 2nd car Corsa Metro or escort then its another £600 insurance, cos you have to start with 0 NCB and then it may need tax which is another £100. I doubt it will come with 4 new tyres of 6 months down the line its £150 for 4 new tyres, MOT £30 and then you still have to buy petrol/diesel for it and still pay towards the upkeep of the Z.

 

You will save money in the long run but you maybe have to go a nearly a year before you start making savings after paying off the extra car.

Got a Pug 205 Diseasel - not a bad run around for getting to work and back - even if I had the Z I couldn't use any more power so... Cost me £500 to buy, so far cost me nothing on parts, £30 per MONTH on fuel (:D)... Only cost £456 to insure as well cos http://www.theaa.com take NCB on a first car into account ;) BONUS :D

I know, bad isn't it, after 17 years of avoiding Dagenham Dustbins I've bought one! A 1.8i Zetec Escort Ghia.

 

What puzzles me is: Why didn't I buy one before? New Shocks, lower suspension arms bushes etc etc, and still change from £120! As for £160 for 4 GY Eagle F1 Tyres. Oh and it does 35mpg!:eek:
