Just a quick one, how do I tell if my ECU has been chipped or upgraded?

The bloke I bought the car off didn't really know what had been done to it.

It has a Apexi Type R old type boost controller, and a device which he described as "afm enrichment", so I was guessing nout has been done in regards to twiddling with ECU setting ect?

Easiest way that I know of is to plug it into Consult and read the chip data from there.

Open it up and see if the main EPROM (which holds the mapping data) has been replaced with a

socketed EPROM. Circled in red below.

The stock EPROM from the factory will be soldered into the PCB. The replacement EPROM will typically

be inserted into a PCB socket. The photos below show what you should be looking for.
