Most importantly Dan you are ok..Car is a material that can be repaired/replaced....without looking underneath how bad is the damage on inner wing etc its unknown how serious it is..Anything is repairable but its just how much damage there is..Can you upload more pics for a better opinion...Gutted for you though .. :(Lee

its all rippled in the bay no way it getting fixed and the sill is bent bad i wouldnt want it or drive it after that moving on was nice while it lasted

I am genuinely sad- I know what is like to lose my 240z in an accident.

Look, I have my spare z32 which you can have stripped back to what you need for £500, and I'll bring it up on a trailer (even take your GB engine loom as part pay if that helps). It will include bonnet, front bumper, wings, glass, looms, sub frames, steering, ps resevoir, brake lines, driver door so as far as I can see you could swap in your engine/trasmission, interior, rear hatch, passenger door, targas and suspension and paint red.

Regards

Dave

Swapping over are not big jobs and you would get your z back

thanks for offer but am done here now works gone very busy and i dont have the time to do it again am just going to save for a gtr or maybe a 911 turbo or lotus to get a car back to how i had this one would take to much time and money

Wow!...glad to know you are ok Dan. Sorry for the loss, I can only imagine the feeling, especially after all the effort put into to make it look and perform great. Again glad you are ok and you will be back! They all do....let us know what you end up with.

I felt sick when I saw this mate, still your O.K and that's all that matters.

A shit ton of graft went into this and I genuinely feel for for you bud!

oh! and first dibs on the seats!

Yes. Yes it can.

Do it Dan, if its affordable to you why not? I'm trying to get myself in a position to buy one right now also!

Depends on what you want or enjoy to an extent. A Z32 will never be a compentant as an R35, when I say competent I mean over all. Sure you could be faster, both on the straight or through the corners, but by that point your Z32 will have suffered many compromises whilst the GTR is still sat there with all it's luxury. That said it's nearly 1,75 tonnes of car stuffed with air bags and electronic wizardry, if your so inclined a Caterham 7 would be more fun. Hell we all know how fun a 60s mini with 100hp 2" off the floor is.

The R35 is a stonker of a machine, it's what the Z32 was in its day and then some. The question of does it have more driving pleasure depends on the individual. I know a chap who has a 2.8i Capri and a DB9, guess which he prefers to drive the weirdo.

work it busy i dont have the time like last years so i need a ready done car. i may get a lotus again yet am not sure yet its going to take some time to claw money back and sell the x5 plsu save up all takes time

Dan just a thought What would have happened to a Lotus in the same situation I don't think that would have come off worse than the zed.

I know when I wrote off my ex's zed a couple of years ago the police said that's a strong car that saved you

You say that but I had a VX220 which essentially is a lotus elise and I hit 2 trees with it which destroyed the car down one side badly (wheels, door, seatbelt, front and rear clams removed at first tree) and it was the lotus tub that saved me from being ripped in half. I genuinely owe my life to that thing. Not as bad as you think but I understand the thinking.

here is my old lotus i had few years ago

s1 but if i get another its going to be a s2 and fit the civic type r engine with a supercharger, thats if i dont get the gtr we have to wait and see

a s2 with type r and super charger is like a rocket ship there just unreal if you even get to ride in on its like super bike fast

Must be similar to the Vx220 supercharger from Courtney on the 2.2 NA....

Yeah elises can be seriously quick and handle phenomenally well.

A mate of mine had an s1 with a t16 engine, granted it's heavier than a k20 but they're still pretty good engines and potentially 3-400bhp

Btw hard lines on the accident mate, never been there myself but similar with and it's guttering at the time. Atleast you're alright and able to sort something else out ay.

Don't want to sound like a vulture at all but are you going to be breaking the whole car or are you just selling bought parts on?

i hope to yes or least some of it wait on the insurance before i can give the green light

Again thank you for meeting up today. Sorry to see your car in such a state but it looks like you have your next plans all worked out. The parts are ace and good luck with the next build. look forward to it. Take care dude. Steve and Sam
