hello all.

So I have a 94 imported zed and have always had this fob sat in a drawer which didn't seem to work... Now I learn it is part of teh factory supplied keyless entry system.

Any ideas on how I can test it and get it working?... presuming first step is replace battery as it seems dead as a dodo right now.

The instructions says insert and remove teh key 6 times in under 10 seconds to go into settings mode, does this mean literally just inserting and removing the key from ignition?

haha so it would be nice if it worked.... replaced battery, still nothing. tried the reset thing in the ignition and still nothing, so really not sure where to go from here. Any advice would be much appreciated.

5 years later I am here giving advice !!!

Having migrated the working keyless system from my donor LWB 1995 car into my SWB 1995, I found that one of my four remotes worked straight off, so that's central lock and unlock the doors, pops the tailgate and the fourth button turns on the courtesy light.

I wanted to program my other remotes, yes Nissan are having a laugh with the key in and out procedure in 10 secs but I must have done it because I now have 2 working fobs, so I put all the best bits together with these and here they are pictured.

1 remote I have is not genuine, cannot get anything out of this only the LED lights up and the other genuine one, does actually beep when a button is pressed but no joy linking with the car sadly, can only presume the PCB inside this is not compatible.
