honestly.

Do you think i'm not trying.

All assembled back together and she still wont start, again seems to be fuelling issues.

Timing is spot on as i fixed that this morning, tried various fuel levels and it just wont fire.

Strange thing is after each test i do pull the fuel relay out then crank her so that any fuel is burned off.

A few times she started but then stalled again after the fuel ran out.

Stop procrastinating and get it running!!
So this was the brown sludge that i removed from my gearbox at the weekend.

How did it get like that?

So found myself with a strange situation of my zed been stuck outside on the stones.

Today for the first time in months the zed was off its stilts and was towed backwards out of the garage onto the stones.

I done this to clear up all the oil leaks and various other fluids spilt on the garage floor.

Getting it out was easy enough as i just used the wifes car to tow her out.

Two hours later when we went to push her manually back in she wouldnt budge.

Turns out when i fitted the calipers and discs i tightened the handbrake shoe far too tight.

So i had to jack the car up on the stones and remove both wheels to adjust the shoes and release the brakes.

3 Hours for a simple 30 minute clean up job.

Not posted in a while with an update of my zed as its not really great news.

At the start of last month i did manage to get the car started and got her up to temperature but she developed a low end tick.

So after some advice she is stripped down again ready to pull the engine out to inspect the bottom end.

Only took me a few hours to strip her down as i'm getting fairly efficient in the process but i never had an engine stand or crane

to pull the engine back out.

I now have a new stand and a new crane i currently on route hopefully arriving today.

Soon as the engine is back out i can flip it over and remove the sump for inspection.

Hopefully its nothing serious and i can get it sorted asap.

Engine now removed, and bolted on to the stand.

I now have a huge void in my zed again and a puddle of water and oil on the floor.

I was going to click "Like" but I don't think that is entirely appropriate given the circumstances.

Anyway, I salute your work rate Lee.

Admire your commitment ! for reasons like this I always advocate caution when newbies start a post with "new to zeds" project to make 500bhp any tips!!

Jeff

That’s a real shame so close.
