Taking on my first proper mechanical project on the 300zx that I've acquired and it's going to be sorting out the radiator that has a hole in it.
I'm thinking of installing a manual Radiator and then installing an Oil Cooler for the gearbox oil.
Looking at something like this for the oil cooler:
It seems a fairly simple enough job, but there are a few things I'm hoping someone can help with:
1) When I put the oil cooler in, should I top that up with autobox oil first or let the car run and top up based on the oil level?
2) The oil cooler kits that I've seen come with AN10, AN8, or AN6 hoses. Does anyone know which AN size would be best suited and how do these replace the existing cable as they seem to come with some screw attachments but the existing ones are simple clamp hoses?
3) Am looking to mount this behind the fan under the nose. Anyone know how to securely mount these types of radiators securely?
4) For the actual radiator, is it worth spending more on the 2 or 3 core radiators?
