i have all the hicas removed from my car now and cruise control am i rite in thinking the steering clock spring can be removed now ? its off at the mo as i fitted new steering wheel other day

the only reason i can see you need it id for the steering wheel angle sensor for the hicas ?

your still going to need it even iff you dont have cruise connected mate...the horn needs it for contact into the loom:wink: plus its more known as the slip ring Dan. I used to adapt my own rings to work with aftermarket wheels as the hicas boss was always expensive.....done that much since i cant remember what i did now but it will come up here in searches:yes:

i wired the horn round it so bi passed it the only thing i can work out that its used to see the steering angle sensor to the hicas know when to work but i have all the hicas removed and cruise control so i cant see why i need it

wheres your horn button now

on the new wheel i just worked out the wire that went through that ring thing the yellow wire i just grounded the other side and the horn was sorted
