Has anyone on here had any dealings with nitrous kits on a Z i have just seen how relatively inexpensive it is(£5-600) and the claims of 50 to 200 bhp increase are quite enticing, i would opt for the less expensive not so balls out but still incredible 75 bhp on tap ??? any help much app, the site claims its v safe, and im seriously considering it, but scared i wreck my motor and wallet

By the way mines an n/a (just thought you should know) cheers

For an N/A it's a great mod. It needs to be done correctly but if done properly, in sensible doses it is a very safe and effective way to increase power.

Two things to bear in mind - you'll only get around 40 seconds out of a bottle of NoS and your insurance will go through the roof. The increase in premium will be out of proportion with the increase in power. And don't even think about not telling them - there isn't a more obvious power mod.

So, not as cheap as it appears when you just look at set-up costs but a great mod nonetheless.

I don't know if anyone on here has it but a chap called Malcolm in the Z club has been running it on his TT for years.

You alos have to display a nice sticker on your rear to let everyne know you have an explosive container in your car.

this is pretty much the respected person regarding using nitrous on a 300zx.

Its an awesome mod, and would wpork very well on an NA, just got to be done correctly or dont even bother.

Appreciate it chaps thanks alot, il get xmas out the way then il send it to be done, afeter checking insurance of course, i never thought about that

Also remember the cost of nitrous itself. 2 of my mates have NOS, (one on a Clio & one on a 106) & it costs around £30 to fill a bottle. You'll end up spending more on Nitrous than you will on petrol.
