Morning all,

I just want to compare this to other peoples manual levers.

When in gear I can move the gear stick side to side about an inch and a half. I can do this in every gear, I can not move the gear stick up and down as much and there doesn;t seem to be any other side effects.

Is this normal or do I need to replace a bush somewhere ??

I thought perhaps this was going to be another manual / auto debate with the slightly new slant of 'which is the gayer leaver' ?

P.S. It's manual

When replacing the bushings make sure that you don't overtighten them - the gear shift can become stiff because the bushing material expands as the car gets hot. When the car cools down, the problem goes away.

If you experience this problem back off the nut on the bushings about 1/4-1/2 turn.

Excellent I will remember that. Thanks for the info.

Where do I get the bush from ?. any recommendations or shall I just pop into my local Nissan spares place and ask for it.

I don't anyone has a link for the part number from somwhere. If not don't worry I'm just being lazy as usual :).

Thanks all. Merry Christmas.

I think it's 34139-30poo x 2, that's what I bought anyway - just never got round to fitting them.
