Hi All

Not been on here for 5? years as my 300 has been parked-up , surplus to requirements- along with a 200sx. However I am now getting it back on the road, just needs 2 tyres, patch weld to exhaust, new wipers & front indicators fixing.

Bulbs are Ok & I've also tried new ones & have checked the 2 fuses in the driver's footwell- all ok.

Any ideas why both would be duff?

Thanks in anticipation!

Blast from the past. Good to hear the Z is going back on the road and was it these fuses you checked.

Yes checked both the 10 amp fuses , indicators & hazards - also Hazard switch isn't partly on either- just seen other thread- is it possible the other 4 indicators would work if there was a short? - if so is there a likely place to find the problem?

Thanks

BTW - are passenger side scuttles still impossible to source- the one above the battery!

They are not, very common problem its the earth connection in the bulb holder ( the outer metal bit ) the connection which is inside becomes high resistance and hence do not work, replacing them with used ones can often have the same issue, however if you splice the earth cable with a short bit of new cable, take out the bulb pass it down the side of the bulb and refit the bulb to trap it, then it re earth`s the unit, this will come under the heading of a "work around" rather than a fix as I hate the word bodge !!

Got it sorted by soaking bulb holders in Coca Cola- work fine now but the 'Lights@ warning on dash still shows- had alook in manual & that relates to brake lights but they are all fine ( including high level)- anyone any ideas?
