Just toying about with ideas for next winter, (I know, I know) what's the going rate for an NA rear end these days? Don't need the upper or lower arms, just the frame, diff, half shafts and hubs.

Also I hear midland turbos do t28 cores into stock turbos for a good price any details?

I have been thinking of doing this as well, but was concerned that the half shafts from the NA are weaker than the TT and may fail.

Is this true?

I think for a street/circuit car it's fine. The issue comes when your launching hard on semi slicks. That seems to be the issue.

I'm currently tidying up an NA rear subframe and diff to go into my car. I got my one at a decent price as I'm a regular, repeat customer. I've seen subframe and diff go from anywhere between £250-£450. It all depends on the vendors knowledge. Some vendors know that they are now considered an upgrade for the TT's as it deletes Hicas and gives a better 0-60, these guys are starting to ask silly money. Then there's guys like Baz on here, who are extremely fair on their pricing and are more into Club spirit than fleecing people of their hard earned cash. Talk to Baz and see if he can help:thumbup1:

I'll have a subframe soon, got a spare with my new na, sent it to be powder coated, once it's back going to swap it over then the old ones up for grabs, no Diff or anything else but it's free if you want to collect it.

I'm not set on the idea 100% yet and as your closer Howard I'm happy to let you jump ahead in the que.

Cheers mate, that's what I was looking for. I didn't want to start enquiring before I'd made my mind up but obviously I need a ball park to asses whether I want to do it. I already have hicas delete etc but I like the idea of the weight loss and shorter ratio. Stock TT gears are long old gears.

Ash, would it be possible for you to bring the subframe to Beaulieu? ( I'm assuming your coming,)

I am coming to Beaulieu, not sure it will fit in my zed (swb), and it only went to the powedercoater last week so depends on how long before its back and I get chance to swap them out,

Ok, no worries if it isn't off/or doesn't fit in the SWB

I might be able to make it fit in my Z or I might bring another car with the family.
