Hi

Iam new to 300zx twin turbo ownership.

The car i purchased from a friend who drag raced it, the power is around 500HP with 1.25Bar boost...

My question is .... What is a safe limit of boost & obtainable HP on a standard engine..?

Many thanks

Roger

You need far more information than that to answer the question. There's cars out there that blew up at 280hp and cars out there running 700hp+ running sub 10 sec quarters.

It runs 12.5 sec quarter mile..

It Has..

induction kit

Exhaust

ECU

Boost control system

Up rated intercoolers

Auto box increased line pressure system..

Running 500hp on stock turbos seems unlikely to me.

Without forging it I would recommend going for much more power, but as Stephen said there are cars on the club running 600hp without problems.

And welcome to the club mate :)

It has had the turbos replaced at some point, but iam unaware if they are standard or not..??

That's about 18psi, which is probably more then the safe level for standard turbos, and if it's at 500hp the injectors are at( if not beyond) their limit, I'd say get the exact spec from your mate, and get it dyno'd at very least, as I'd be worried about your air fuel ratios...
