Evening all,

Thought I’d take some time to do some odd jobs on my Zed while it is parked up. One of the things that was bothering me was the hazards light switch, which didn’t light up.

When taking it apart, a small L shaped bar jumped out of the switch, as shown in the photo below. Does anyone know how this thing goes back together? Specifically, where this small bar/spring goes. I’d prefer to reassemble it over admitting defeat and buying a new one.

Thanks

Yes i do :thumbup1: will try and find some pics i have though, cos explaining it is a whole pain in the ass although i will do the best i can lol

Unfortunately i cant take the image alone from the PDF file below, so if you open the file and view the hazard switch pic, it should give the you the idea

JEDI-LED.pdf

You will see the copper runner should be facing prongs down, and the little wire clip, you will find a hole the the small end goes into and will be facing up as in the pic. The block then sits on the switch as is so the prongs are seated on the copper pads. The little wire clip is what gives the click as it is engaged, the spring inside the other part of the housing obviously creates the force against the body of the witch to retract.

I find that when putting the front half of the switch back together, slightly depress the switch so you can feel it lock in when the lugs of the housing are back together.

Hoe this helps

If you get stuck post it to me and i will sort it for you free
