Pretty much Richard look at what BBC1 & 2 have on offer at prime time this Friday and Saturday night. A crap game show, seriously, does anyone think Pointless is a good programme? Don't worry though because after this and the news at gone half 10 at night that new film Die hard with Avengence is on, this film was realesed in 1995, a great film but it's older than Alic!!

Don't even get me started on Itv, I'm pretty sure thier purpose is to make the scum class feel part of society, when your greatest achievement is Jeremy Kyle and Simon Cowell, oh you get the point.

What you've done there is admit the bbc is better than commercial TV! Well, one of them anyway, but do sky reeeally show anything that's better, apart from some big American blockbuster's?

Interesting point about the beebs other services, how many do you use? I listen to radio 4 most of the time, because 1,2 and 3 do my fruit in. I don't have DAB in the van, the other car does and I go straight to planet rock.

There are some great American programmes out there, personal taste really though. We have plenty of commercial channels here without the excessive American style adverts.

M pretty confident the BBC isn't unbiased, in fact I find it often very biased. But then when your pay check comes straight from the Goverment I spose you'd be biased too.

Being better, than bad doesn't make anything good.

As for sky, they are fast becoming one of the biggest power houses in TV, programmes like Game of thrones, The Left Overs etc as well as the rights to the F1.

If I had to pick a British TV station it's got to be channel 4. For varied content, quality drama and cinema as well as news delivery.

...........What gets me though is that people don't think about what TV would be like if the beeb didn't exist. Because it has no adverts, other channels can't have too many because it would look too bad compared to the beeb and people wouldn't watch. Take the beeb away, and they'll go nuts. Ever seen American TV? Absolutely unbearable nonsense on the most part, you would spend 1/3 of your TV life watching dreadful adverts, sports would be bursting with cringing product placements.

..............Though I get if you solely watch on demand and nothing else, must be pretty annoying, but I don't think there can be many that ONLY watch that, regardless of what they may say

You're right too Chris; in fact most TV is pretty crap, that's why I can't be bothered to watch anything nowadays..... If I do sit down in front of the TV, I generally dig out my old A-team and Knightrider DVD sets and watch an episode or two....

And as for radio, Like Steve, I have DAB in all the cars and stick to Planet Rock or Absolute:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
