First off thanks Alic and Znut For their help in trying to help me find a fog light for my 300 and in eventually finding someone on e-bay who has sold me a pair of lights, a very saddening consideration hit me. If anyone watched Car SOS this week they were restoring a 240z and Fuzz and the loon waxed lyrically about the style and look of the 240 they were restoring. While they were banging on it hit me that while looking for the lights the number of 300zx being broken for parts lost forever. I do not know how many 300’s there are left in this country but why would you want to let one of the most stylish and powerful affordable supper cars be allowed to rot away. There will come a time when they will become as hard to get hold of as the 240 and 280 at affordable price for the average working person. Great for us owners of these cars but what a waste gone and never to be used and admired again.

I have had an unflinching love affair for many years with these cars from when I got my first ‘W’ plate blue 280 ‘T’ top and then the most exhilarating car in the form of a 300 tt. Sad to say the newer 350 and 370 are good but they look like Audi TT’s.

Had my rant. Thanks again Alic & Znut, I hope I have the pleasure to meeting you in person one day, happy and trouble free travels.

Regards

Steve P

No problem, I can't remember what iI did tbh but thanks anyway, always happy to help :) (EDIT: Ah the photos, If you still need help ask me)

I will try and attend as many meets as possible this year, so likely I will have the pleasure to meet you.

It is sad to see as I think alot of people underestimate them and don't appriciate what engineering feet they are, with the first car to be designed with CAD modeling, four wheel steering (which few supercars have today, though the Zs is no where near as sophisticated), and 4wheel ABS and all that Jaz in todays cars. If its a well maintained car, nobody today would ever suspect the styling was designed in the 80s, and it wouldnt stand out as old fashioned.

Please don't correct me on facts, you get the point...

Is it hard to find fog lights?

No, he was just thanking for general help, and then going on about Zs

Just with him menioning 'after eventually finding someone' who had lights, I didn't think they were hard to find.
